Charity dinner to benefit the children with special needs held in London

On Monday  25th Jun 2012, MonteNet Organisation in association with The Embassy of Montenegro in London held a charity dinner and auction “For a Happier Childhood” to benefit the children with special needs in Montenegro. The event was held at renown Grove Restaurant and was well attended. The attendees were entertained with a mini piano concert by Milena Lainovic. The plight of children with special needs in Montenegro was emphasised in the speech of the ambassador of Montenegro to the UK, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ljubisa Stankovic.

Donations received during the event and from ensuing auction were £2100. In addition, MonteNet Organisation long term members donated £813.50 from the funds they already had on their account. Furthermore, £130 was paid directly into MonteNet account. Thus, the total proceed from the event equal £3043.50 (or around 3,880 Euros as for e/r on 18.07.12). The entire proceeds will be channelled to one of the Montenegrin NGO helping children with special needs upon receipt and approval of the detailed spending plan for the donation.  

MonteNet Organisation wish to express our deep gratitude to all those who came to the event and have made a donations as well as to those who were prevented from coming but still made donations. We are also very grateful to the following contributors to the auction: The Embassy of Montenegro in London, The Grove Restaurant, Ms Szuzsanna Fekete (Fitness First), Drury Coffee & Tea, The Centre for Montenegrin Diaspora, Montenegro Airlines and to those donors who expressed their preference for their name not to be listed.
